GEOUM
- The GEOUM Working Group of the Libraries for Earth and Environmental Sciences exists since 1995 as an informal association for mutual support and cooperation. GEOUM originated from an initiative of the geologic state offices but in the meantime it adresses all libraries with a focus on Earth and Environmental Sciences.

ZMAW
- ZMAW (Zentrum für Marine und Atmosphärische Wissenschaften) had been a combined institution of the ZMK (Zentrum für Meeres- und Klimaforschung) and the MPI-M. The BIS was called BIS-ZMAW at the beginning. Now it is BIS for Earth System Sciences. ZMAW and ZMK belong to history. We have CEN now.
